As part of the 49th Venice Biennale a large extramural exhibition is being organised in the 17th-century Venetian palazzo Ca' Zenobio. The work of several of the most internationally successful young Dutch artists of today will be on show here.
This book is being published in conjunction with the exhibition. Alongside several introductory essays, each artist is presented in a separate chapter, with an in-depth introductory and analytical text, reproductions, biography and bibliography. The individual chapters do not only address the work on display but also provide an overview of the artistic development of the various artists. In this way the book will for the first time provide a comprehensive picture of the abundance of the current generation of younger artists who enjoy international attention'and not undeservedly, as the publication makes clear.
