Miró, one of the greatest painters and sculptors of the twentieth century, is probably the artist who has most identified himself with the colours and creativity of the Mediterranean. Now Miró is travelling to Greece from his native Spain. The Exhibition Joan Miró: In the Orbit of the Imaginary, organised in the Goulandris Foundation Museum on the island of Andros in Greece, focuses on particulary on the artist's mature works, from 1957 onwards. It is illustrated by a catalogue that is very different from other publications on Miró, with 100 colour photographs and an exceptionally accurate chronology and bibliography. It is one of the most beautiful books dedicated to the 'Mediterranean' Miró and one of the most beautiful catalogues of an art exhibition.
