They include contracts to perform autos and plays in local festivities throughout central Spain, revealing the remarkable degree of theatrical activity which took place even in small, isolated communities, and the considerable funds which were devoted to it, and enabling the theatrical calendars and the itineraries of the actors to be analysed. There are also numerous asientos (contracts for actors to perform in a company for a year) and various other documents related to aspects of the actors' professional and personal lives
