Lively young architects of a new generation live and work in Vienna. 'Yo.V.A. - Young Viennese Architects' is an exhibition and publication series initiated by the Vienna City Administration to promote these young Viennese architects. The book, the catalogue of the homonymous exhibition, presents the work of 12 young Vienna based architecture firms. Architects are given six pages each to present their projects, their philosophy, and their practice. The architects were selected by a jury presided by Professor Wolf D. Prix. An abundantly illustrated essay on the importance of modern and historic architecture in the current townscape as well as on the Vienna Architecture Declaration's contents complements this overview on Vienna's new architecture. The uniform appearance of the various contents is ensured by Schreiner & Kastler graphics and communication firm.
