The Swiss landscape architects Rotzler Krebs Partner specialise in the planning and design of urban open spaces, parks and gardens. This book contains a representative selection of their completed and planned projects which are presented in detail with numerous colour illustrations, blueprints and brief descriptions. Projects featured in this
book include the temporary installation Tanzende Ellipsen (dancing ellipses) on the grounds of Zurich-Kloten Airport, the project Augenweide (feast for the eyes) as part of the Federal Horticultural Show 2001 in Potsdam and the Lettenareal in the west of Zurich.
The projects are grouped into chapters according to key terms (e.g. Staging Vision, Enclaves and Reserves, Urban Territories) each of which are outlined at the beginning of the chapter with associative notes.
The introduction by Christophe Girot and essays by Hubertus Adam look at the oeuvre of Rotzler Krebs Partner in the context of contemporary landscape architecture, while the illustrations by the photographic artist Annelies Strba enriches the publication with rhythm
and a further visual level.
