The highly popular Architecture in the Netherlands once again presents a selection of the previous year's most remarkable architecture on Dutch soil. In making their selection of more than 30 projects that were realized in 2004, the editors have sought to offer a broad representation of various currents, design strategies, building types and topical themes that were characteristic for architecture in 2004. The editorial essays and the photo essay by Jeroen Musch explore these topical themes in greater depth. There is also an overview of the previous year's most important prizes, competitions, exhibitions and publications.
The selection includes projects by Wiel Arets, Architectenforum, de architectengroep, Juliette Bekkering, Benthem Crouwel, Border Architecture, Hilberink Bosch, Santiago Calatrava, Claus en Kaan, Diederen Dirrix van Wylick, Groosman, Grosfeld, Hubert-Jan Henket, Herman Hertzberger, JHK, Krier & Kohl, Monolab, MVRDV, De Nijl, NOX, OMA, Ruimtelab, Paul de Ruiter, SeArch, UN Studio, VMX and Zecc.
