In celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the Henry Francis du Pont Winterthur Museum, the National Gallery of Art will present selected masterpieces from this permanent collection of American decorative arts, on tour for the first time.
Approximately 300 examples of decorative arts made or used in America between 1640 and 1840 -including furniture, textiles, paintings, ceramics, glass and metalwork - will offer a stunning array of the vast riches of this remarkable museum.
