This publication contains a discussion of the hybrid and the compact as architectural concepts. It is based on a studio course at the Aarhus School of Architecture, during which analyses and transformations of two of Le Corbusier's projects provided a starting point for specific design projects. The course identified the two concepts as tangible spatial and sensate categories that qualify architecture as an accommodating and thus fundamentally habitable structure.
