The monograph on Giorgio Vasari (1511-1 574) has been published as part of the "Architettura e Architetti Ciassici" (Architecture and Classicai Architects) series, it has been entrusted to the care and expertise of architecturai historian Claudia Conforti, who formerly contributed to "Electaarchitettura". The book offers a critical reading of the architecturai works of a man universally known for bis "The Lives of the Artists". But Vasari was aiso an interpreter of the renewal of Fiorence ordered by Cosimo i de' Medici, with his designa for the Uffizi and the restructuring of Paiazzo Vecchio.
