Aims and Scope
Emmy Zweybrück (1890-1956) was an all-round artist who trained at the Vienna School of Applied Arts and worked in the fields of graphic design, book design and toy production. She very soon started her own studio in Austria and, from the late 1920s, was also successful in the USA. She increasingly shifted her activities to the USA and made an innovative contribution to the applied arts movement there.
For the first time, this book documents Zweybrück's extensive work and her school, and presents the biography of a fascinating and independent woman. Outstandingly illustrated and with an extensive scientific appendix, this publication provides the basis for all further research.BOOK ARCHITECTURAL
