Theatres are cultural temples that draw people in, provide inspiration and an emotional boost, and challenge architects to achieve new levels of excellence in their designs. This is no different with De Spiegel, a brand new theatre built in Zwolle, a provincial city located in the Netherlands. Architects Greiner Van Goor, have designed a building with a multifunctional auditorium capable of pleasing different demands, from symphony orchestras to pop groups and theatre. The project is extensively explored through essays, photographs and architectural documentation.
