Over the last 10 years, the Architecture Gallery in Lucerne has established a reputation far beyond the borders of Switzerland for its distinctive exhibitions and accompanying catalogues. During their forthcoming Architecture Symposium to be held in March 2001, they will be reviewing their previous activities and moving forward into fascinating new areas. During this meeting debates, lectures, performances will be held by prominent personalities from the world of art, architecture, film, literature and philosophy, all suggested by architects who themselves were once the focus of exhibitions at the Gallery. The aim will be to examine, question and interpret the creative processes underlying architecture, and reflecting on the interrelation of architecture and other areas of modern culture - whether they are obvious or concealed, fruitful or provocative. Surprising new dimensions to the current architectural debate are revealed.
