¿Se puede aplicar el término "reciclaje" a los entornos urbanos? Reciclar la ciudad es aprovechar la oportunidad que la misma ofrece para actuar nuevamente en ella, es re-usarla buscando un equilibrio entre los parámetros sociales y los medioambientales. Es re-construir y re-utilizar, en definitiva, intervenir en lo existente para conseguir una ciudad eficiente que de respuestas a las nuevas necesidades del siglo XXI. En el libro "Madrid, ciudad reciclada" revisamos y aportamos distintas soluciones a cuatro fragmentos de la ciudad de Madrid de muy diferente carácter: el barrio de Tetuán-Valdeacederas, el ensanche de Salamanca, la Dehesa de la Villa y los terrenos de reconversión del antiguo barrio de Chamartin.
