Current design strategies compared with an exibition by Max Bill
With an essay by Claude Lichtenstein and original essays by Max Bill
In 1949, Max Bill used his exhibition to conduct a fundamental discussion on the forms and content of product design. This led to the Swiss Werkbund's «Die Gute Form» campaign (1952-1958), which had many successors world-wide. Bill also influenced the foundation and curriculum of the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Ulm. The original exhibition has survived intact and will pass into the design collection in the Zurich Museum für Gestaltung after being shown there
