This book presents Hannu Siren's work from the year 1980 to the present day, from Kemi to Espoo and from Helsinki - in total over 50 works. The essays by Nina Björkman and Rauli Heino, both well-acquainted with Siren's work, bring forth new, interesting angles to Siren's production. Elina Vieru's interview with the artist, on the other hand, throws light on the background to Siren's art. By Finnish standards, Siren has made many public works. He has also brought his art to the people, close to their everyday environment. And as is normal for the Finnish art world, his works have from time to time caused a lively art- and cultural-political debate.
