For more than thirty years, the Pritzker Architecture Prize has been awarded annually to a living architect 'whose built work demonstrates a combination of those qualities of talent, vision and commitment, which has produced consistent and significant contributions to humanity and the built environment through the art of architecture. This book presents all 33 recipients of the prize, and captures, in pictures and the recipients own words, the essence of each architect. A lavish, large-format celebration of the work and minds of 33 of
the worlds most famo us and accomplished architects, including
first-person explanations of the creative process and hundreds of
photographs, blueprints and CAD drawings.
Organized in reverse chronological order by architect, each chapter showcases c. four to six major works that represent a range of skills and applications as well as a variety of structures.

The texts, each provided by winner, illuminates each of the works as well as enlightens on such topics as his influences and inspirations, creative process, personal philosophy and aspirations for his own work and for the future of architecture.
